Today the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of St. La Salle

April 7 is the anniversary of St. John Baptist de La Salles death.
St. La Salle died on April 7, 1719, with 23 communities of educators and 100 Brothers to further his mission.  Today there are nearly 5,000 Brothers, 80,000 Partners, and 900,000 students.

De La Salle was canonized a saint in 1900 and named the Patron Saint of Teachers in 1950.  De La Salle High School is a continuation of his story.  Let us honor him.
