Faculty Spotlight, Evan Davenport

Evan Davenport started his career at De La Salle High School in the fall of 2014. He teaches 8th-grade English (Language Arts). In addition, Evan works with our students after school while he moderates the after-school study hall program.

“Mr. Davenport teaches our 8th graders English (Language Arts), and his excellent classroom management skills provide our youngest and newest students with a real sense of what is required of them at De La Salle. Mr. Davenport constantly searches for new ways and new materials to engage his students, and he has a very bright future in education.”–Paul Kelly ’83, Principal

Evan attended the University of New Orleans where he earned both his B.A. and M.A. in English. He is currently attending Loyola University for an M.A. in education. Outside of teaching and studying, he enjoys gardening, traveling to Asia, and teaching English as a second language.
