De La Salle’s Class of 2016 led by Rebecca Frank, Brandon Stamps

Stamps, Jr._Brandon, ValedictorianLed by Valedictorian Brandon J. Stamps, Jr., and Salutatorian Rebecca N. Frank, the De La Salle Class of 2016 graduated May 16 from Xavier University’s Convocation Center.  Chaplain Fr. Michael Schneller was the celebrant at the 64th Graduation Mass.

Stamps, the son of Wanda and Brandon Stamps, Sr., will attend Xavier University on the President’s Scholarship.  He was also accepted to LSU.  He was a member of the National Honor Society, the Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, the national Math Honor Society.  He was a recipient of the Principal’s Departmental Award for math, the William J. Hebert, AFSC, Math Award for his outstanding work in math over his four years.

Frank plans to attend Loyola from whom she received the Presidents Scholarship. Additionally, Rebecca was also awarded a grant through the Alumnae Association of St. Marys Dominican College. She was also accepted to Southeastern Louisiana University where she received the University Honors Scholarship and a four-year housing scholarship, and the University of New Orleans.  She was a member of the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, and the Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society.  She was the recipient of two of the Principal’s Departmental Awards – for Religion and the Kenneth J. Byrne English Award for her outstanding work in those areas over four years.  Additionally, she was a member of the Chorus for three years.
