Please see below for various messages regarding classes and activities on Thursday January 30th:
Message from Principal Peggy St. John regarding 9:30 AM start time:

De La Salle High School will have a delayed start for students tomorrow (Thursday) to allow our Westbank, Metairie, and other students travelling some distance a chance to arrive safely to school. Students should plan to arrive between 9:15 and 9:30 but “D” period will begin at 9:30am. We will have a special schedule with reduced time for each class and one-lunch period. Faculty and staff will be reporting at regular time (7am) and will be available for supervision if you need to drop your student off at an earlier time. These students should report to the cafeteria. Breakfast will be available for students until classes start. Our number one priority is your safety. Please know that any student delayed because of road conditions will receive an excused tardy/absence. Please be safe!

Message from Transportation Coordinator Johnny Collins regarding Bus Schedule:

The afternoon route will leave DLS at 3:15 PM as normal.

Message from Director of Student Activities Johnny Collins regarding Hoop Week and Athletic Events:

Winter Storm Leon put our original Hoop Week plans on ice. Consequently, the plans have changed and are still being finalized. Tomorrow (Thursday January 30th) is going to be a Hoop Week T-Shirt Dress Down Day and we will have the over under relay at lunch in the cafeteria.  The pop a shot contest and penny wars for hoop prince and princess will continue at lunch as well.  All other Hoop Week plans will be announced at school tomorrow. Thursdays pep rally and 3 on 3 Tournament are also postponed.

As of now tomorrows girls soccer game is still on as scheduled (4:00 PM vs. Ben Franklin at Lasalle Park).  However, both the boys and girls basketball games scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed.  More details regarding the postponed games will be available once the schedules are finalized.

Hoop Week T-Shirts will be on sale in the cafeteria prior to classes beginning at 9:30 AM.
