Boys Basketball overcomes slow start to topple Pope John Paul II

The Cavaliers overcame a sluggish first quarter in which they were outscored 19-2 in the opening game of the Pearl River Tournament. The Cavs played much better in the second quarter cutting their deficit at half down to six points. The Cavaliers outscored the Jaguars 26-9 in the second half to win the game by a final score of 44-33.
The Cavaliers return to action in the second day of the Pearl River Tournament versus East Jefferson.
