Dear Fellow Cavalier Parents,

Welcome to a new school year! All parents and/or guardians of De La Salle students are members of the De La Salle High School Parents Club, Inc.  Our mission is to fulfill the following purposes and objectives:

  1. To encourage service-minded people to serve De La Salle through family oriented activities.
  2. To create and foster a spirit of fellowship among the members of De La Salle High School.
  3. To provide financial support to De La Salle High School through dedicated fund raising projects.

The De La Salle Parents Club is a non-profit corporation which is administered by a Board of Directors. There are 20 parent-elected members of the board, including 6 officers who comprise the Executive Board.  The 2014-2015 officers of the corporation are:

Wanda Anderson Davis-President

Jonnie Johnson-First Vice-President

Maxine Summers-James-Second Vice-President

Melanie Wesley-Treasurer

Joanne Chesters-Corresponding Secretary

Rhea Woods-Recording Secretary

The Parent Board of Directors is excited to announce that the Parents Club now has a link on the school’s website where you can find a list of all board members, information regarding upcoming Parents Club events as well as a link to ask questions, make suggestions or to volunteer for an activity.

The Parents Club meets four times a year at 7:00 pm in the school cafeteria. This year’s meetings will be held on October 14, December 2, February 3 and May 5. Please mark your calendars now and plan to attend these social and informative events. You will learn more about the club; you discover ways to become more actively involved; you participate and provide feedback on important issues involving the education of your children; you receive tips from professional guest speakers for meeting your students’ needs in the 21st century; and most importantly, you have the opportunity to socialize and get to know other parents.

We are very excited about the upcoming school year and we look forward to working with the administration, faculty staff and the Student Council to make this the best school year ever. However, it will take the active participation of ALL parents to realize this goal. Please review the attached list of Parents Club activities and use the Volunteer Form to sign up for as many activities that you would like.

We look forward to getting to know you this school year and to your active participation in the Parents Club. The best investment we can make for our children is our time to insure that their high school experience is fulfilling.  Working together, we will make this a dynamic year at De La Salle High School.

If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions that you would like to share with the Board, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very truly yours,

Wanda Anderson Davis
DLS Parents Club President
