This week’s Moderator Monday is Mrs. Julie Hauber. Mrs. Hauber is De La Salle’s new College Admissions Director. We interviewed Mrs. Hauber to learn more about her.
De La Salle: How have you enjoyed working at De La Salle?
Mrs. Hauber “I can already see what a special place De La Salle is. Everyone has been very welcoming. I like the diversity of students, the school spirit, and how terrific the teachers are. It will be a pleasure to help develop students navigate the college process. I hope to make the sometimes stressful process more enjoyable.
De La Salle: What do you like most about your role as a college advisor?
Mrs. Hauber: My goal will be to add value to the students’ De La Salle experience by helping them achieve their academic and career goals through the college process. Because I am a natural planner and organizer, I feel I can help students as they explore colleges to develop a list of schools that fit them, and then help them toward their goal with all the different steps involved.
De La Salle: What do you like most about your role?
Mrs. Hauber: What is most rewarding is seeing students take ownership of the process as they gain confidence in what is best for them.
De La Salle: What do you think is the most important way you can help students in your role?
Mrs. Hauber: “To attend to students personally to provide them with the highest quality program has always been a goal of mine. By keeping careful track of what needed to be done and where they were in the process, I can encourage them along the way to help ensure success; each plan is individualized to meet the needs of the student.”
Welcome to the Cavalier Family Mrs. Hauber!
