De La Salle is once again the host of The Great Saint Charles Avenue Road Race sponsored by the New Orleans Track Club.  The race will be held on Saturday April 6th beginning at 8:00 AM.  They will offer a 1/2 mile and 5 kilometer race as well as a fun run / walk.  The NOTC is offering a special $25 entry fee for all members of the De La Salle Family.  They have created a special link on their website for our registrations.  Below, find the link to register:
Click here to register for the race or fun run / walk.

Be certain to click the De La Salle Student Option when registering.  To be guaranteed a t-shirt, you must register by March 31st.  All registered by this date will receive their shirt at school when we return from Easter Break and will be entitled to a Dress Down Day on Friday April 5th.  If you need help registering you may go to Mrs. Jarrott in the finance office and she will walk you thru the process.  Please make sure you bring your payment with you when going to her to register.  Payment methods include cash, credit card and checks made payable to De La Salle.  All entries submitted after March 31st will not be able to receive the special De La Salle price and will not be guaranteed a shirt.

At the conclusion of the race (approximately 10:30 AM), we will host the Inaugural De La Salle Family Day in the the school yard.  There will be food, music, activities and entertainment for the entire De La Salle community.  There is no charge for this event and we encourage all to attend.

All students who register for the road race will be treated to a FREE movie during a school day at the historic Prytania Theater and coffee and beignets.

The grade level with the highest percentage of participation will also earn a class-wide sno-ball party.

We thank you for your involvement and look forward to seeing each of you on Saturday April 6th.
