Letter From The President
A Promise of Greatness
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year at De La Salle High School!
We begin the year in confidence and faith, enthusiastically joining with our Lasallian colleagues around the world in sustaining the work of our founder, St. John Baptiste de La Salle – transforming lives since 1680.
We also begin this year with a clear focus on greatness. It is time for all of us who care about De La Salle to turn our gaze to the future – a future poised for service, for excellence, for advancement. We value your trust in us and stand ready to do whatever it takes to create a place of Gospel values, heartfelt joy, and dedicated preparation of our students for college, career, and life.
We are your partners during these important years of formation for our students. We strive to get better every day in supporting that partnership and making sure we walk together in guiding your children during this transition from adolescence to adulthood.
I am also seeking your partnership in these next days as we continue on our journey to greatness. As a new president, I am eager to talk with each of you and hear first-hand your aspirations for your children and your school. After Labor Day, I will be hosting a series of gatherings where we can have informal conversations about our future. I look forward to seeing you there.
If you wish, I am open to hearing from you personally in advance of these small group meetings. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll schedule a meeting as soon as convenient.
I begin the year knowing I have the best job in the city – a chance to contribute to the future of our school, our community, our world. I can’t imagine a better place to be, or a better group of young people, faculty, and families to join in this work. As our patron often noted: “Lord, the work is yours.” We are indeed about God’s work at De La Salle High School, and I am honored to share this year with you and your children.
