Memorial Mass and Reception in honor of the late Pattie Slattery Burke

All graduates, students, and friends are invited to the Memorial Mass and Reception in honor of the late Pattie Slattery Burke.  Pattie died in Austin, Texas on December 8, 2013.  Her memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Church followed by a reception in the front lobby of De La Salle.  Pattie founded the art program at DLS in 1970, and she was the first woman teacher at DLS from 1971-1978.
The family will make a presentation of Patties art work at the reception:    Patrick Slattery, Class of 71;  Kevin Slattery, Class of 72,  Bob Parks, Class of 1975;  Bill Parks, Class of 1978; and her husband, John Burke, who was the principal of De La Salle from 1969 to 1976.

Pattie requested donations to the De La Salle Art Department, and the family would be honored to have alumni and friends send donations in her memory to her beloved De La Salle art department.
