Lady Cavs Fall Short to Rebels in Quarterfinals at Pontchartrain Center | Witten by: Morgan Ledet 13

On Thursday afternoon, the Volleyball season came to an end when, in the Quarterfinals, the Lady Cavs fell to the Riverside Academy Rebels. The first set ended well with starters Sarah Oster, Chelsea Pritchett, Brittany Deckwa, Jonné Porter, Madeline Salmon, Jessica Porter, and Rene Causey playing strong.

The first set ended with a score of 25-18. The Lady Cavs also took a victory in set two with a score of 25-22.

During the third set the Lady Cavs fell short, losing 16-25. During the fourth and fifth sets, the Lady Cavs kept the score close to keep the fans on their toes.

The fourth set was a loss 24-26. The fifth set did not come out in the Cavs’ favor with a score of 14-16.

“It was upsetting to end the season with a loss,” senior team member Meghan Hunger said, “because that wasn’t our plan, but our seniors became the leaders and stepped up when things didn’t go as planned.”
