At De La Salle, our student athletes strive for excellence in all they do.  Helping them to meet their goals and to achieve is our mission.  De La Salle’s Softball/Baseball Complex – an indoor facility that will house two full-length batting cages for baseball and softball, as well as additional open space for practice drills for tennis and golf – will provide our students with an unparalleled opportunity to continue on their path to excellence in sports and in life.

This facility, unlike any other found in the Greater New Orleans area, will feature the ProBatter Professional Baseball Simulator – a state-of-the-art pitching machine that simulates live pitching.  Combining cutting edge computer and video technology, ProBatter is capable of delivering at least nine different types of pitches (fastball, curve, slurve, screwball, cutter, slider, split finger fastball, sinker and the change up) on an interchangeable basis at speeds up to 100 mph.
