Boys Soccer Pummels Lutheran

On Tuesday evening, the De La Salle Cavalier boys’ soccer team defeated the Lutheran High Gryphons at Newmans Lupin Field by a score of 12-3.  The Cavs offense was led by a multitude of players consisting of (Junior) Peyton Giacone, (Sophomore) Eduardo Garcia, (Junior) Rodolfo Molina, (Freshman) Nigel Rizzo, and (Freshman) Rodrigo Trujillo who combined to score all of the twelve goals. Also playing major roles in the game were the two keepers (Senior) Travis Hankins, and (Senior) Dwayne Lockett. The Cavs played hard from start to finish that game and it showed. “We not only won that game but had fun doing it and also greatly progressed as a team,” Hankins added. The Cavs greatly enjoyed their first win of the season and greatly deserved it as well after all the hard work they have put in throughout the season.
