Band takes 2nd place Overall in Rex musical competition

Despite the gloomy, overcast weather, the Cavalier Band marched in Rex Mardi Gras day with a full complement of band members and representative Cavalettes and Cheerleaders.
Their spirited music and precision marching earned them the 2nd place trophy for Overall Band Competition for the Rex organization.  Their accomplishment was announced  just past the reviewing stand at Gallier Hall.  The trophy will be sent to the school in coming days.

New Band Director Mr. Duncan Pray said, “I am so proud of the kids; they did exceptionally well, and I know the Administration is so pleased with their taking this award.”

It is only the second year that the Cavaliers have marched in Rex; last year, in their inaugural appearance, they earned the 3rd place trophy.
