Announcement of Presidential Search Committee

The Board of Trustees of De La Salle High School, New Orleans, LA has announced the appointment of a Presidential Search Committee to begin the work necessary to select the next DLS president. Among the members are trustees, district representatives, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and a current student.

The search committee will begin its work by holding a community meeting at De La Salle later in the month to discuss the concerns, priorities and wishes of parents, students, faculty, staff and alumni at De La Salle. The committee will also send out a survey by email to discern the wishes of the community.

The committee will publish a job posting in September and the period for application will run until October 16. After receiving applications, the committee will review the applications and conduct interviews.

Finalists for the position will be invited to De La Salle on December 3-4 to learn more about the school and to meet students, parents, faculty and staff. It is anticipated that the Board of Trustees will make a final decision on the next president in early December 2015.

The Board wishes to express its continuing appreciation to Dr. Myles Seghers, who assumed the duties of president at a very difficult time and has given us the time necessary to conduct a thorough search.
