Incoming students demonstrating academic excellence may qualify for academic scholarships. The criteria used to determine scholarship recipients include elementary school grades, standardized test scores, conduct and effort grades, and De La Salle High School Placement test scores.
Academic Scholarships are only available to incoming eighth and ninth grade applicants. All incoming eighth and ninth grade applicants who apply before the January 15th deadline and take the January 9th placement test are considered. Qualified students are invited to submit an application to the Director of Admissions. Updated 12/25/2020
FINANCIAL AID AWARDS
Financial aid applications will only be reviewed if the student is accepted and fully registered. De La Salle High School students in need may apply for tuition assistance by submitting an application through FACTS once they are officially accepted to De La Salle High School. De La Salle High School does not grant full tuition waivers. Several financial aid scholarships are awarded each year to incoming students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. Recipients of financial aid awards are notified in May by the Office of Admissions. Families are encouraged to meet with the Director of Admissions to discuss their financial situation in addition to submitting the FACTS online application.
Aid is not automatically renewed; a new application must be submitted every year. Returning families will not be eligible to reapply for financial assistance if a prior year balance remains on the student’s account. All financial aid awards are reviewed and approved by a financial aid committee.
Generally, aid is not granted for more than half of tuition and does not cover registration, uniforms, or books.

By law, students receiving an ACE scholarship in grades 3-12 are required to complete state testing each year. As a reminder, students in grades 3–8 are required to take the LEAP tests in English and Math only, and students in grades 9-12 are required to take the EOC assessment that corresponds to the English and Math courses in which they are currently enrolled. Please see the table below for specific information.
For the 2021-22 school year, the ACE Louisiana scholarship application will open to new applicants on Monday, March 1st at 8am CST. For the 2020-21 school year, ARETE currently has no plans to open applications statewide for new families. Should that change, we will contact your school and post updates on our website’s application page.
An email was sent to all Arete families, which included a link and an 8-digit code required to access their renewal application. The application link and code are for currently awarded families only, and any application received from a non-returning family via the link will not be considered for an award. The deadline for returning applications is March 15, 2020.
