De La Salle Scholarship Information

Scholarships are awarded each year to registered students who meeet the established criteria and take a competitive examination. Results from the Scholarship Exam in addition to grades and other information in the student’s file will be used for consideration for an academic scholarship ranging from $250 – $1,000.
Criteria:
  • The student must have chosen De la Salle as their school of choice during the application process.
  • The student must be registered
  • The student must have a Cumulative GPA in elementary school of 3.0 or higher

Students that meet the established criteria will be notified, no application is necessary.

Merit Scholarship is available to incoming 8th and 9th grade students who are interested in fine arts. They have the opportunity to audition for merit scholarships. Merit scholarships range from $250 to $500 and are renewable each year dependent on the students continuous involvement at De La Salle in that extracurricular activity.

Robert Greathouse Memorial Faculty Scholarship is awarded to a senior on the basis of academic performance, campus involvement and need.

Alumni Scholarships are available for the children of alumni entering the 8th or 9th grade. De La Salle has to be the first choice school of applicant.  For more information, contact the Alumni Office at 895-5717 Ext. 117.

Cavalier Academic Performance Scholarship


Presidentʼs CAPS Scholarship

Maximum $5000 per year and renewable annually provided GPA and conduct requirements are maintained

Requirements:

  • Student must score a 95% or higher on the placement test
  • Student must achieve a 3.75 GPA on cumulative report card through the 3rd quarter of application year
  • Student must illustrate good citizenship (A or B in conduct)
  • Student must present a letter of recommendation from a current school administrator De La Salle has to be the first choice school of applicant

Principalʼs CAPS Scholarship

Maximum $3500 per year and renewable annually provided GPA and conduct requirements are maintained

Requirements:

  • Student must score a 90% or higher on the placement test
  • Student must achieve a 3.5 GPA on cumulative report card through the 3rdquarter of application year
  • Student must illustrate good citizenship (A or B in conduct)
  • Student must present a letter of recommendation from a current school administrator
  • De La Salle has to be the first choice school of applicant

 

In addition to CAPS, we offer Merit Scholarships in amounts ranging from $250 – $1000 in the following areas: Art, Band, Choir, Drama and Speech. These merit scholarships require joining that specific activity and remaining a member in good standing. All scholarships require that students choose De La Salle as their first choice school.

ACE and ARETE Scholarship Information

The ACE and ARETE scholarships are made possible through the Louisiana Tuition Donation Rebate Program and are not affiliated with De La Salle High School. These scholarships are available to students coming from charter or public schools. Please keep in mind these scholarships are awarded on a first come, first-served basis as long as funds are available.

CHAMPIONS FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION

The application for Champions of Catholic Education application is now available for the 2017 – 2018 school year. The application is open until March 31st for students enrolled in Kindergarten – 12th grade. Every application will be given equal consideration, but this application does not guarantee an award.
